On February 3, 2020, Ron Durbin had a heart attack. Lying there, he had a moment of clarity: "I hate my life." Not his family. Not his faith. The life he'd built around grinding through a legal system that increasingly let corruption slide.
The abused boy who became the determined attorney who became the relentless watchdog. Ron had spent 20 years fighting for accountability, even when it cost him. He exposed a drunk judge who drove her grandchild in the car. The system took his law license for it.
That kind of resistance only proves his point: when accountability threatens power, power pushes back. The question is whether you fold. Ron doesn't fold.
Now he's running for Congress. Not because it's a logical next step, but because the machine he's been fighting his whole career just got bigger. And somebody has to audit it.
